As a child moves into Key Stage 2 at the age of 7, they will begin to experience teaching from additional subject teachers along side their Class Teacher. They continue to work in combined classes allowing a greater depth of differentiation, especially in Mathematics and English. This allows pupils to be stretched and challenged, but at a pace to suit them. The children will be taught in 35 minute periods. Often the children will receive double period lesson in certain subjects.
