The theme for STEM Day this year was ‘Mission to Mars’. The Pre Prep children worked in collaborative groups to complete a range of Space based activities; flying off on a space adventure, investigating different planet and even exploring what it would be like to walk on the moon! They then created and launched their own rockets and practiced measuring distances using standard and non-standard units.
The Prep school were challenged with designing and building a rocket. Each team were given ‘Faradays’ to buy materials to construct their rocket from the onsite shop, however needed to budget accordingly to keep their project on task!
