As part of their World War 1 studies in Literacy, our Year 6 class visited the National Memorial Arboretum this term. They participated in an Explorer Day, with a guided walk around the Arboretum to explore the importance of communication in WW1 using key artefacts before challenging themselves to break communication codes to solve a secret mission! The visit really brought their study of Private Peaceful alive.
