Do you wonder what goes on inside the classroom each day? Here are just two moments captured with our Year 3 and Year 6 classes this week.
Year 3
Today in English we learned to ‘show, not tell’. Some of the children acted out emotions and the others guessed what they were conveying. We then worked in groups to write sentences that described the face, body and voice.
Can you guess the different emotions the children were writing about?
– He scrunched into a ball and hid away from everyone.
– He crossed his arms and stomped his feet as he stormed out.
– Her voice was as squeaky as a mouse as she said, ‘Yay!’
– He was as relaxed as trickling spring water.
Year 6
Year 6 learnt how to multiply 4-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers. We started with a fun card game. Turn 2 cards over, multiply the numbers, fastest person to answer wins the cards. Well done to the winner of each round! Why not try this at home?
